Tarique Rahman Talks to Chief Adviser Over Phone Immediately After Arriving in Bangladesh

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman spoke over the mobile phone with Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus immediately after returning to the country following a long absence. The special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG–202) carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:36 am on Thursday (December 25).
After disembarking from the aircraft, Tarique Rahman entered the airport’s VIP lounge, where he was received by members of the BNP Standing Committee. Later, in a separate room of the lounge, he was welcomed with a garland of rose flowers by his mother-in-law, Syeda Iqbal Mand Banū. He also exchanged greetings with other family members present there.
While staying at the VIP lounge, Tarique Rahman spoke with the Chief Adviser over the phone. During the conversation, he inquired about the Chief Adviser’s health and expressed his gratitude for ensuring comprehensive security arrangements on the occasion of his return to Bangladesh.
Tarique Rahman was accompanied on the same flight by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and his daughter, Barrister Zaima Rahman.
The return of Tarique Rahman to the country after 17 years has sparked widespread discussion in political circles and generated enthusiasm among BNP leaders and activists across the country
