Gono Odhikar Parishad spokesman Abu Hanif has praised the government’s security measures following the peaceful and festive nationwide celebration of Durga Puja, the primary religious festival of the Hindu community.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the political party spokesperson expressed gratitude to members of law enforcement agencies and the armed forces for their diligent service in maintaining order throughout the festival.
Abu Hanif noted that despite rumors and conspiracy attempts by various groups prior to the festival, Durga Puja concluded smoothly without any untoward incidents across Bangladesh.
He credited the proactive steps taken by the government and security forces for thwarting potential disruptions and instilling confidence among worshippers and the general public.
The spokesman emphasized that communal harmony remains a fundamental core value of Bangladesh, demonstrating the nation’s commitment to peaceful coexistence among diverse religious communities.
He expressed hope that the country will continue to move forward by upholding this tradition of communal harmony, mutual respect, and unity among all citizens in the future.
