বিগত ১৭ বছরের আন্দোলন, হামলা-মামলার মধ্যেও বিএনপির প্রতিটি কর্মসূচিতে সক্রিয় ভূমিকার কথা তুলে ধরে নূরে আলম ছিদ্দিকী বলেন, “বিএনপির ফ্যাসিবাদ কিংবা শেখ হাসিনার শাসনকাল—কোনো কিছুর ভয় করিনি। জনগণের অধিকার রক্ষায় অদম্য সাহস নিয়ে সবসময় মাঠে থেকেছি।”

আসন্ন ত্রয়োদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া-৩ (সদর-বিজয়নগর) আসনে বিএনপির মনোনয়ন প্রত্যাশী জেলা বিএনপির যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সদর উপজেলা পরিষদ এর সাবেক ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আলহাজ্ব নূরে আলম ছিদ্দিকী, রবিবার (২৮ সেপ্টেম্বর) সকাল ১১টায় অনুষ্ঠিত ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া অনলাইন মিডিয়া এসোসিয়েশন (বুমা)-এর সাথে মতবিনিময় সভায় তিনি এসব কথা বলেন ।

নূরে আলম ছিদ্দিকী বলেন, “আমাদের নেতা তারেক রহমান বলেছেন, দলীয় পোষ্ট যে বহন করবে সে এমপি নয়। আমি নেতার এ কথাকে ধারণ করেই ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া-৩ আসন হতে বিএনপির মনোনয়ন প্রত্যাশী।”

তিনি আরও বলেন, “ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার মানুষ আমাকে চায়। যদি কোনো রকম ম্যাকানিজম না থাকে, তবে দলীয় মনোনয়ন নিয়ে ধানের শীষ প্রতীকে ইনশাল্লাহ বিজয়ী হবো। দলের ত্যাগীদের যথাযথ মূল্যায়নের আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি। গত ১৭ বছর ধরে আন্দোলন, হামলা-মামলার মধ্য দিয়েও দলের কেন্দ্রীয় কর্মসূচি বাস্তবায়নে মাঠে ছিলাম।”অনেকের মত মামলা হামলার ভয়ে আমি কখনও এলাকা ছাড়া ছিলাম না ।

প্রথম দফায় দুইদিন জ্বরে ভোগার কয়েকদিন পর দ্বিতীয় দফায় আবারো তীব্র জ্বরে আক্রান্ত হন ঢাকার উত্তর বাড্ডা এলাকার বাসিন্দা কবির হোসেন। এরপর রক্ত পরীক্ষা করে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্তের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত হলে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে ভর্তি হন হাসপাতালে।

এভাবেই নিজের অসুস্থতার বর্ণনা দিচ্ছিলেন রাজধানীর শহীদ সোহ্রাওয়ার্দী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসারত ২৮ বছর বয়সি মি. হোসেন।

তিনি জানান, শুরুতে সাধারণ জ্বর ভেবে প্যারাসিটামল জাতীয় ওষুধ খেয়ে সুস্থ হওয়ার চেষ্টা করেছিলেন। কিন্তু শরীরে প্রচণ্ড ব্যাথা এবং বারবার বাথরুমে যেতে হচ্ছিলো। পরে বাধ্য হয়েই চিকিৎসকের শরণাপন্ন হন তিনি।

সরেজমিনে হাসপাতালটি ঘুরে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত বেশ কয়েকজন রোগীর সঙ্গে কথা হয় বিবিসি বাংলার। যাদের অধিকাংশেরই বয়স ৩০-এর কাছাকাছি। আর প্রত্যেকেই চাকরি, ব্যবসাসহ বাইরের বিভিন্ন কাজের সঙ্গে যুক্ত।

কথা হচ্ছিল সোহরাওয়ার্দী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি নওগাঁর বাসিন্দা সুলতান আহমেদের সঙ্গে। তিনিও বেশ কিছুদিন যাবত জ্বরে ভুগে ও শরীরে তীব্র ব্যাথা নিয়ে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন।

হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ বলছে, কয়েক মাস ধরে ধারাবাহিকভাবে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত রোগীদের আনাগানো রয়েছে, তবে হঠাৎই গত তিনদিনে হাসপাতালটিতে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা কিছুটা বেড়েছে। চিকিৎসা নিতে আসা বেশিরভাগ রোগীর বয়সই ৩০ বছরের কম।

বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিৎসকরা বলছেন, ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্তের ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত এই বয়সীদের সংখ্যা যেমন বেশি থাকে, তেমনি তাদের সেরে ওঠার হারও বেশি। তবে এক্ষেত্রে এই বছরের চিত্র এখন পর্যন্ত কিছুটা ভিন্ন।

চলতি বছর ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত হয়ে ৩০-এর কম বয়সী রোগীদের মৃত্যুর সংখ্যই বেশি।

স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের হিসাব অনুযায়ী, গত জানুয়ারি থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত সারাদেশে ডেঙ্গুতে প্রাণ হারানো ১৮৭ জনের মধ্যে ৯৪ জনেরই বয়স ৩০ বছরের নিচে।

এছাড়া হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হওয়ার পর খুব কম সময়ের মধ্যে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্তদের মৃত্যু হওয়ার বিষয়টিও আলোচনায় রয়েছে।

এর কারণ হিসেবে সময়মতো প্রয়োজনীয় চিকিৎসা না পাওয়ায় 'শক সিনড্রোম' তৈরি হওয়ার কথা জানান বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিৎসকরা।

সুরেশ চন্দ্র রায়ঃমা নিকগঞ্জের ঘিওর উপজেলার বানিয়াজুরি ইউনিয়নের তাড়াইল ও নয়াচর এলাকায় চলমান ৪টি ড্রেজারে ঘিওর উপজেলা প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে একটি অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হয়েছে।

সোমবার ( ২২ সেপ্টেম্বর৷ ) বিকেলের দিকে সেনাবাহিনী ও আনসার সদস্যদের সহায়তায় উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা নাতিশা তুল ইসলাম ড্রেজারের ৮শ মিটার পাইপ ধ্বংস করেন। তবে ঘটনাস্থলে কাউকে না পাওয়ার কারণে মামলা কিংবা জরিমানা করা সম্ভব হয়নি বলে জানান স্থানীয়রা। এলাকাবাসীর অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে এ অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়েছে।

অভিযানের পর স্থানীয়রা প্রতিবেদককে জানান, তাড়াইল,নয়াচর ছাড়াও পাশের গ্রাম শোলধারায় এখনো ৪টি ড্রেজার চলমান রয়েছে। যেগুলো নিয়ে কিছুদিন পূর্বে "দৈনিক ভোরের কাগজে" বিস্তারিত প্রতিবেদন প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল। কিন্তু সেখানে জোরালো কোন অভিযান এখন পর্যন্ত পরিচালিত হয়নি। শোলধারা চকে জরুরিভাবে বড় পরিসরে একটি মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনার মাধ্যমে ড্রেজার ব্যবসায়ীদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা প্রয়োজন।

• ঘিওর উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা নাতিশা তুল ইসলাম বলেন, বানিয়াজুরি ইউনিয়নের তাড়াইল ও নয়াচর এলাকার ক্যানালে চলমান ৪টি ড্রেজারে অভিযান পরিচালনা করে পর্যাপ্ত সংখ্যক ড্রেজারের পাইপ ধ্বংস করা হয়েছে। অভিযানকালে উপস্থিত জনগণকে অবৈধ ড্রেজার বন্ধের বিষয়ে সচেতনতামূলক নির্দেশনা প্রদান করা হয়েছে। একই সাথে কেউ অবৈধ ড্রেজার স্থাপনের চেষ্টা করলে উপজেলা প্রশাসনকে বিষয়টি অবহিত করার জন্য এলাকাবাসীকে পরামর্শ দেয়া হয়েছে। নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা আরো বলেন, শোলধারা চকেও অনতিবিলম্বে অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হবে। জনস্বার্থে উপজেলা প্রশাসনের এ অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে।

ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া প্রতিনিধি: ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ায় এক পুলিশ কর্মকর্তার বিরুদ্ধে জাল দলিল তৈরি করে সরকারি কাগজপত্রে নামজারি করিয়ে জায়গা দখলের অভিযোগ উঠেছে। এ ঘটনায় অভিযুক্ত স্থাপনা সিলগালার দাবি জানিয়ে জেলা পুলিশ সুপার ও জেলা প্রশাসকের কাছে লিখিত অভিযোগ দিয়েছেন কুমারশীল মোড়ের বাসিন্দা মো. আবুল কালাম আজাদ।

অভিযোগপত্রে বলা হয়েছে, গত ৮ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৫ তারিখে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া সদর সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) কার্যালয়ে শুনানির পর কুমারশীল মোড়ের আলী ফার্মেসীর দেয়ালসংলগ্ন জায়গার জাল দলিলের ভিত্তিতে করা নামজারি বাতিলের আদেশ দেন এসিল্যান্ড। সাব-রেজিস্ট্রার কার্যালয়ের সহযোগিতায় জালিয়াতির বিষয়টি প্রমাণিত হয়।

তবে নামজারি বাতিল হওয়ার পরও অভিযুক্ত ব্যক্তি মো. তৌহিদুজ্জামান ওই জায়গায় “মাস্টার ক্যাফে” নামে একটি রেস্টুরেন্ট খুলে ব্যবসা শুরু করেছেন বলে অভিযোগে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। আবুল কালাম আজাদের দাবি, প্রতিষ্ঠানটির হোটেল-রেস্তোরাঁ নিবন্ধন, পৌরসভার ট্রেড লাইসেন্স, ফায়ার সেফটি সার্টিফিকেট কিংবা পরিবেশ অধিদফতরের ছাড়পত্রসহ কোনো ধরনের বৈধ কাগজপত্র নেই। তাই ২৫০ শয্যা হাসপাতালের সামনের এই অবৈধ রেস্টুরেন্টটি মোবাইল কোর্টের মাধ্যমে অবিলম্বে সিলগালা করার দাবি জানান তিনি।

এ বিষয়ে অভিযুক্ত পুলিশ কর্মকর্তা মো. তৌহিদুজ্জামান সাংবাদিকদের বলেন, “এই জায়গাটি আমার বাবা হেবা দলিল করে আমাদের দিয়ে গেছেন। যে দলিলটি বাতিল করা হয়েছে, সেটি নকল দলিল বানিয়ে আমাকে ফাঁসানোর জন্য করা হয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে আমি ইতিমধ্যেই আইনি আবেদন করেছি এবং এ জায়গা নিয়ে আদালতে দুটি মামলা চলমান আছে।

ভাবুন তো, এমন একটি ব্যাটারি যেটি কোনোদিন চার্জ দিতে হবে না! এখানে পাওয়ার ব্যাংক বা কয়েকদিন চার্জ না দিয়েও চলা ব্যাটারির কথা কিন্তু বলা হচ্ছে না। এটি এমন কিছু যা টানা ৫,৭০০ বছর বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন করতে সক্ষম।

শুনতে অবিশ্বাস্য মনে হলেও বিজ্ঞানীরা সত্যিই তৈরি করছেন এমন এক ডায়মন্ড ব্যাটারি, যেখানে ব্যবহার হচ্ছে কার্বন-১৪।

সায়েন্স ও প্রযুক্তি ভিত্তিক স্প্যানিশ সংবাদমাধ্যম উনিয়োঁ রায়ো জানায়, ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার স্টার্টআপ এনডিবি ইনকর্পোরেটেডের সাথে যৌথভাবে ব্রিস্টল ইউনিভার্সিটির গবেষকরা প্রকল্পটি শুরু করেছেন।

ধারণাটি সহজ মনে হলেও আসলে এটি বড় এক উদ্ভাবন। এখানে ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে পারমাণবিক বর্জ্য, যেটিকে ল্যাবে তৈরি কৃত্রিম হীরার ভেতরে রাখা হয়। এর ফলে তৈরি হয় এমন এক শক্তির উৎস, যা নিরাপদ, স্থিতিশীল এবং প্রায় চিরদিন চলতে সক্ষম।

এই উদ্ভাবনের মূল রহস্য হলো কার্বন-১৪। এটি একটি তেজস্ক্রিয় পদার্থ, যা নিউক্লিয়ার রিয়েক্টরের গ্রাফাইট ব্লকে থাকে। এটি প্রতি সময় ক্রমাগত শক্তি উৎপাদন করে এবং এর অর্ধেক- জীবন প্রায় ৫,৭৩০ বছর। যখন এটিকে কৃত্রিম হীরার মধ্যে রাখা হয়, তখন হীরা কাজ করে শিল্ড হিসেবে এবং একই সঙ্গে রেডিয়েশনকে বিদ্যুতে রূপান্তর করার যন্ত্র হিসেবে।

এ ধরনের ব্যাটারির ব্যবহার সবচেয়ে কাজে আসবে মহাকাশ অনুসন্ধানে। সূর্যের কাছাকাছি না হলে সোলার প্যানেল ভালো কাজ করে না, আর এখনকার জেনারেটরগুলো প্লুটোনিয়াম-২৩৮-এর ওপর নির্ভরশীল, যা খুবই কম পাওয়া যায়।

ডায়মন্ড ব্যাটারি ব্যবহার করলে একটি যন্ত্র শত বছর ধরে চলতে পারবে, কখনো বন্ধ হওয়ার ভয় ছাড়াই। এটি দূরের মহাকাশযান পাঠানো বা দীর্ঘ দূরত্ব থাকা গ্রহে অভিযানের সুযোগ তৈরিতে সাহায্য করতে পারে। এই কারণেই নাসা এই আবিষ্কারে দিক মনোযোগ দিচ্ছে। কারণ এটি তাদের ভবিষ্যতের মিশনের জন্য নতুন শক্তির উৎস খুঁজে পাওয়ার পরিকল্পনার সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ।

এই ব্যাটারি শুধুই মহাকাশে নয়, পৃথিবীতেও এর অনেক ব্যবহার হতে পারে। উদাহরণস্বরূপ চিকিৎসার ক্ষেত্রে, পেসমেকারে এমন ব্যাটারি থাকলে তা রোগীর পুরো জীবন চলতে পারে। কয়েক বছর পরপর সার্জারির মাধ্যমে বদলানোর দরকার হবে না। দূরবর্তী বা বিপজ্জনক স্থানে সেন্সর কিংবা হাসপাতালে জেনারেটরের জন্য বা যেখানে সম্পদ কম বা প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয় হয়, সেখানে এই ব্যাটারি অবিরাম কাজ করতে পারবে।

এছাড়া, এনডিবি জানায় ভবিষ্যতে এই ব্যাটারি ফোন বা ল্যাপটপেও চালাতে পারে।

তবে বড় পরিসরে কৃত্রিম হীরা তৈরি এখনো ব্যয়বহুল, আর তেজস্ক্রিয় পদার্থ ব্যবহার কঠোর নিয়ন্ত্রণের অধীনে। সঙ্গে মানুষকে বোঝানোও একটি সমস্যা হয়ে উঠতে পারে। কারণ কেউ চাইবে না নিউক্লিয়ার ব্যাটারি নিজের পকেটে বহন করতে। তবে বিজ্ঞানীরা আশ্বস্ত করেন, এটি যে রেডিয়েশন ছাড়ে তা মানবদেহের চেয়ে কম, তাই এটি নিরাপদ।

সম্ভাবনা বিশাল হলেও এই প্রযুক্তি অতি শীঘ্রই জনপ্রিয় হচ্ছে না। অন্তত এক দশক সময় লাগবে এই ব্যাটারি সাধারণ ব্যবহারে আসতে।

যদি প্রযুক্তিগত চ্যালেঞ্জগুলো কাটিয়ে ওঠা যায় এবং ব্যবহারকারীদের আস্থা অর্জন করা যায়, তবে এই ডায়মন্ড ব্যাটারি হতে পারে এমন একটি উদ্ভাবন, যা আমাদের শতাব্দীর জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সমাধান হয়ে উঠবে যা বর্জ্যকে রূপান্তর করবে চিরস্থায়ী শক্তিতে।

লিটন হোসাইন জিহাদ: ইন্টারনেটে এক সময় মানুষ পড়ার জন্য তথ্য খুজতো। পরে সবাই লেখা ও মত প্রকাশের সুযোগ পায়, ফেসবুক বা ইউটিউবের মতো প্ল্যাটফর্ম তৈরি হয়। এখন যে নতুন ধাপের কথা বলা হচ্ছে, তাকে ওয়েব ৩.০ বলা হয়। এটি এমন এক ইন্টারনেট যেখানে ব্যবহারকারী শুধু পাঠক বা লেখক নয়, নিজের তথ্যের প্রকৃত মালিকও হয়ে ওঠবে। ওয়েব ৩.০ তে তথ্য আর কোনো একক কোম্পানির সার্ভারে থাকবে না। বরং ব্লকচেইন নামের প্রযুক্তিতে হাজার হাজার কম্পিউটারে ছড়িয়ে থাকবে। ব্লকচেইনকে কল্পনা করুন বড় একটি খাতার মতো যেখানে সবার লেনদেন বা তথ্য একবার লিখলে মুছে ফেলা বা বদলানো যাবে না, আর সেই খাতার কপি অনেকের হাতে থাকবে। ফলে কারও পক্ষে এককভাবে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা সম্ভব হবে না। বাংলাদেশের মতো দ্রুত পরিবর্তনশীল অর্থনীতির জন্য এই নতুন ধাপের গুরুত্ব বিশেষভাবে বেশি।

বাংলাদেশে ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহারকারীর সংখ্যা অনেক। প্রতিদিন লাখ লাখ মানুষ অনলাইনে কেনাকাটা করছে, মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং ব্যবহার করছে এবং ফ্রিল্যান্স কাজ করছে। কিন্তু এই সব কার্যক্রমের কেন্দ্রে থাকে কিছু বড় কোম্পানি। তারা আমাদের ব্যক্তিগত তথ্য সংরক্ষণ করে, বিজ্ঞাপন বিক্রি করে এবং মূল নিয়ন্ত্রণ নিজেদের হাতে রাখে। ওয়েব ৩.০ এই পরিস্থিতি বদলে দেয়। এখানে তথ্য এক জায়গায় জমা থাকে না, বরং ব্লকচেইন নামের প্রযুক্তিতে অনেকগুলো কম্পিউটারে ছড়িয়ে থাকে। এতে করে কোনো একক প্রতিষ্ঠান তথ্যকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারে না।

ব্লকচেইনকে অনেকটা পাবলিক খাতার মতো ভাবা যায়। ধরুন, গ্রামে ধান বিক্রির জন্য একটি খাতা আছে যেখানে সবার লেনদেন সবার সামনে লেখা হচ্ছে। কেউ চাইলে সেই খাতার কোনো পাতা বদলে দিতে পারবে না, কারণ সব পৃষ্ঠার নকল অনেকের হাতে রয়েছে। ওয়েব ৩.০ এই পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার করে। ফলে লেনদেনের তথ্য স্বচ্ছ ও নিরাপদ থাকে।

ধান বা সবজি বিদেশে রপ্তানির সময় অনেক সময় গুণগত মান বা উৎস নিয়ে সন্দেহ থাকে। ব্লকচেইনভিত্তিক নথিতে প্রতিটি ধাপের তথ্য লেখা থাকবে—কোন মাঠ থেকে ধান এসেছে, কখন সংরক্ষণ করা হয়েছে, কোন পথে রপ্তানি হয়েছে। এতে বিদেশি ক্রেতা সহজে যাচাই করতে পারবে এবং কৃষকও ন্যায্য দাম পাবে।

প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিরা পরিবারে টাকা পাঠাতে ব্যাংক বা মানি এক্সচেঞ্জের উপর নির্ভর করেন। এতে খরচ বেশি হয় এবং সময় লাগে। ব্লকচেইনের মাধ্যমে তৈরি করা নতুন আর্থিক সেবাগুলো অনেক কম খরচে ও দ্রুত এই টাকা পৌঁছে দিতে পারে।

অনেক সময় চাকরির জন্য জমা দেওয়া সার্টিফিকেটের সত্যতা যাচাই করতে সময় লাগে। যদি সব সার্টিফিকেট ব্লকচেইনে সংরক্ষণ করা হয় তবে নিয়োগকর্তা সহজে সঠিকতা যাচাই করতে পারবে এবং জাল সনদ ব্যবহার করা কঠিন হবে।

ফ্রিল্যান্সিং বা অনলাইনে কাজের বাজারে যারা আছেন, তারা বিকেন্দ্রীকৃত অ্যাপ তৈরি করে বা ডিজিটাল পণ্য বিক্রি করে আয় করতে পারবেন। যেমন একজন শিল্পী নিজের আঁকা ছবির ডিজিটাল সংস্করণ ওয়েব ৩.০ মার্কেটপ্লেসে বিক্রি করতে পারে এবং বিক্রির পরও মালিকানা সংরক্ষণ করতে পারে।

বাংলাদেশে এখনো ক্রিপ্টোকারেন্সি বৈধ নয়। ব্লকচেইনভিত্তিক অনেক সেবার জন্য এই মুদ্রার প্রয়োজন হতে পারে। তাই সঠিক আইন ও নীতিমালা তৈরি করা দরকার।
প্রযুক্তিগত দিক থেকেও বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ রয়েছে। এই ধরনের নতুন অ্যাপ তৈরি ও পরিচালনার জন্য বিশেষজ্ঞ লোকের প্রয়োজন, যা এখনো কম।
অবকাঠামোগত সীমাবদ্ধতাও আছে। গ্রামে বা প্রত্যন্ত এলাকায় ইন্টারনেটের গতি সব সময় স্থির নয়, অথচ ওয়েব ৩.০ তে দ্রুত ও স্থিতিশীল সংযোগ দরকার।

প্রথমে সরকারি পর্যায়ে এই প্রযুক্তিকে বোঝার জন্য গবেষণা ও পরীক্ষামূলক প্রকল্প শুরু করা উচিত। যেমন কৃষিপণ্যের রপ্তানি বা সরকারি নথি সংরক্ষণে ব্লকচেইন ব্যবহার করে দেখা যেতে পারে।
