A powerful 8.8-magnitude earthquake has struck Russia’s eastern Kamchatka Peninsula, triggering tsunami warnings across the Pacific region. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake was initially recorded at a magnitude of 8.7 but was later revised to 8.8.

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, at least 112 people have been killed in Gaza over the past 24 hours. Since the beginning of the war, the total death toll has now exceeded 60,000.

Imran's mother said, “After Shaheed Abu Sayeed, my son was the second martyr. No other injured person had reached the hospital at that time, so the doctors tried their best. But we couldn't save him.”

She added, “We received support from many places, including the July Foundation. But the love, the companionship a son gives — can that ever be replaced?”

When his younger sister Sanjida said, “My brother is no more,” it felt as if a thousand cries, sorrows, and heartbreaks were hidden in that one sentence. She continued, “Our father passed away just two months ago due to cancer. My brother was the only earning member. Now, for us, every single day feels like July.”

আজ রোববার (৭ ডিসেম্বর) এ ঘটনায় শ্রীপুর থানায় অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছেন নবজাতকের বাবা।এর আগে, শনিবার (৬ ডিসেম্বর) দুপুরের দিকে পৌরসভার মাওনা চৌরাস্তা আল রাজি হাসপাতালে নবজাতক মৃত্যুর ঘটনা ঘটে।

মৃত নবজাতক উপজেলার গাজীপুর ইউনিয়নের আজুগিরচালা গ্রামের নাজমুল ইসলাম ও শারমিন আক্তার দম্পতির।নবজাতকের বাবা নাজমুল ইসলাম বলেন, শনিবার সকালে সাড়ে ৮টার দিকে আমার স্ত্রী শারমিন আক্তারকে আল রাজি হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করায়।

পরে হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষের সাথে ১৩ হাজার টাকায় সিজারিয়ান অপারেশন করার চুক্তি হয়। আমার স্ত্রীকে সিজারিয়ান অপারেশন না করে হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ নরমাল ডেলিভারি করানোর চেষ্টা করে সময় পার করতে থাকে। হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসক না থাকায় নার্স কল্পনা আক্তার নরমাল ডেলিভারির করার সময় নবজাতকের মৃত্যু হয়।'

নবজাতকের মা শারমিন আক্তার বলেন,' আমার ব্যাথা উঠলে ওই হাসপাতালে ভর্তি রাখার পর থেকে কয়েকটি ইনজেকশন পুশ করে। এরপর নার্সেরা আমাকে অনেক কষ্ট দেয়। এক পর্যায়ে জরায়ুর মুখ কেটে মৃত নবজাতক বের করে।

ওই হাসপাতালের নার্স কল্পনা আক্তার বলেন, কয়েক বছর যাবৎ অপারেশন থিয়েটারে কাজ করা কারনে আমার অভিজ্ঞতা রয়েছে। রোগীর অবস্থা খারাপ থাকায় আমি নবজাতক ডেলিভারি করায়। ভূমিষ্ঠ হওয়ার পর নবজাতক কান্না না করায় অন্য একটি হাসপাতালের শিশু বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিসকের কাছে নিয়ে গেলে তিনি জানান নবজাতক মারা গেছে।

আল রাজি হাসপাতালের ব্যবস্থাপক (ম্যানেজার) রাসেল মিয়া বলেন,' এখানে কোনো চিকিৎসক ছিলো না। তাই, রোগী ভর্তি করতে নিষেধ করেছিলাম নার্স কল্পনাকে। আমাকে না জানিয়ে কখন হাসপাতালে রোগী ভর্তি হলো আমি জানি না।'

স্থানীয় একাধিক ব্যক্তি অভিযোগ করে বলেন,' ব্যাঙ্গের ছাতার মতো গড়ে উঠা এসব হাসপাতালে কয়েকদিন পরপরই শিশুসহ রোগী মৃত্যুর ঘটনা ঘটে। স্থানীয় নেতৃবৃন্দের মাধ্যমে ওইসব ঘটনা গুলো ধামাচাপা দেওয়া হয়। প্রশাসনও শক্ত কোনো শাস্তির ব্যবস্থা না নেওয়ায় এমন অপরাধ বেড়েই চলছে। এসব ঘটনার মধ্যে একটির সঠিক বিচার হলে এমন অপরাধ হতো না।

শ্রীপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা শফিকুল ইসলাম বলেন,' এ ঘটনা অবগত হয়ে সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই সিভিল সার্জন স্যারকে জানিয়েছি। বিষয়টি তদন্ত করে উর্ধতন কর্মকর্তাদের নির্দেশনায় পরবর্তী পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হবে।'

হাসপাতালটির লাইসেন্স আছে কিনা এমন প্রশ্নের উত্তরে তিনি বলেন,' আগে তারা সময় নিয়েছে। এখন কাগজপত্র কি আছে তা দেখানোর জন্য কয়েকদিন আগে চিঠি দিয়েছি।'শ্রীপুর থানার পরিদর্শক (তদন্ত) রবিউল ইসলাম বলেন, মৃত নবজাতককে নিয়ে তার বাবা-মা ও স্বজনেরা থানায় এসে লিখিত অভিযোগ দিয়েছে। ইতোমধ্যে পুলিশ পাঠানো হয়েছে। আমরা তদন্ত করে পরবর্তীতে স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের লোকজনের সাথে যোগাযোগ করে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।'

উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) সাইদুল ইসলাম বলেন,' উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কর্মকর্তাকে সাথে নিয়েই ঘটনা তদন্ত যাবে উপজেলা প্রশাসন। লাইসেন্সসহ আনুষাঙ্গিক বিষয় গুলো দেখে আইনগত পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হবে।'

গাজীপুরের সিভিল সার্জন ডাঃ মামুনুর রহমান সাংবাদিককে বলেন,' খবর পেয়ে সেখানে স্বাস্থ্য কর্মকর্তাকে ইতোমধ্যে সরেজমিনে গিয়ে তদন্তের নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়েছে। তাঁর প্রতিবেদনের পর সিভিল সার্জন অফিস থেকেও তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন করে ওই হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হবে। দুই স্তরের তদন্তের রিপোর্ট দেখে এ ঘটনায় আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।'

এসব ঘটনার তদন্তের রিপোর্ট পরবর্তী সময়ে আলোর মুখ দেখে কিনা এমন প্রশ্নের উত্তরে সিভিল সার্জন বলেন,' এসব ঘটনার কিছুদিন পর বাদী বিবাদী মিলে যায়। যার ফলে আমাদের সাথে আর কেউ যোগাযোগ করেনা। তাই আমরা কার্যকর তেমন পদক্ষেপ নিতে পারিনা। এখানে স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের তেমন কিছুই করার থাকে না।'

লুৎফর সিকদার গোপালগঞ্জ প্রতিনিধি: আজ গোপালগঞ্জ মুক্ত দিবস গোপালগঞ্জে বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের স্মরণে নির্মিত স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ আজ ৭ ডিসেম্বর।১৯৭১ সালের এ দিন পাক হানাদার মুক্ত হয় গোপালগঞ্জ। বিজয় উল্লাসে বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের সঙ্গে আনন্দে মেতে উঠেছিলেন বিভিন্ন শ্রেণী-পেসার সাধারণ মানুষ। উত্তোলন করা হয় স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের লাল-সবুজের পতাকা।

গোপালগঞ্জে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ শুরু হয় ২৭ মার্চ থেকে। ৩০ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত মুক্তি বাহিনীর নিয়ন্ত্রণে ছিল এই শহর। মুসলিম লীগ নেতাদের সহযোগিতায় পাকিস্তানি সেনাবাহিনী ৩০ এপ্রিল শহরে প্রবেশ করে।

পাকিস্তানি বাহিনী ১০/১২টি দলে বিভক্ত হয়ে শহরের হিন্দু অধ্যুষিত স্বর্ণপট্টি, সাহাপাড়া, চৌরঙ্গী, সিকদারপাড়া এবং বাজার রোডে লুটপাট করে। আগুন দিয়ে প্রায় এক হাজার ঘরবাড়ি জ্বালিয়ে দিয়ে হত্যা করে অসংখ্য মানুষ। শুরু করে ধর্ষণ। মুক্তিযুদ্ধ চলাকালে পাক হানাদাররা উপজেলা পরিষদের মিনি ক্যান্টনমেন্টে মুক্তিকামী সাধারণ মানুষদের ধরে নিয়ে হত্যা করে গণকবর দেয়।

৬ ডিসেম্বর সূর্য উঠার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে দলে দলে বিভক্ত হয়ে মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা গোপালগঞ্জ শহরে প্রবেশ করেন। তারা পকিস্তানি বাহিনীর ওপর আক্রমণ করতে শুরু করেন। চারদিক থেকে মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের আক্রমণ বলয় রচিত ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চূড়ান্ত লগ্নে মিত্রদেশ ভারত প্রবাসী মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের সরকারকে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়ায় এখানকার পাক হানাদার বাহিনীর মনোবল ভেঙ্গে পড়ে। মধ্যরাতে মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা আবারো আক্রমণ করবে এমন খবর পেয়ে পাকিস্তানি সেনারা ৬ ডিসেম্বর মধ্যরাতে গোপালগঞ্জ সদর থানা উপজেলা পরিষদ (বর্তমানে) সংলগ্ন জয় বাংলা পুকুর পাড়ের মিনি ক্যান্টনমেন্ট ছেড়ে পালিযে যায়।

মেজর সেলিমের অধীনে পাক হানাদার বাহিনীর একটি দল ঢাকায় যায়। অন্য একটি দল চলে যায় ভাটিয়াপাড়ার ওয়ারলেস ক্যাম্পে। ৭ ডিসেম্বর ভোরে গোপালগঞ্জে স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের লাল-সবুজের পতাকা উত্তোলন করেন বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা। এর মধ্যমে মুক্ত হয় গোপালগঞ্জ শহর ও আশপাশের এলাকা।

শাহ্ পারভেজ সংগ্রাম,গাইবান্ধা প্রতিনিধি:রবিবার (৭ই ডিসেম্বর) সকালে জেলা শিল্পকলা একাডেমী মিলনায়তনে বাংলাদেশ মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ গাইবান্ধা জেলা কমান্ড এর আয়োজনে ৭ই ডিসেম্বর গাইবান্ধা হানাদার মুক্ত দিবস উপলক্ষে আলোচনা ও দোয়া মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

অনুষ্ঠানে, বাংলাদেশ মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ গাইবান্ধা জেলা কমান্ড এর আহ্বায়ক আশরাফুল ইসলাম রন্জু'র সভাপতিত্বে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, জেলা প্রশাসক, মোহাম্মদ মাসুদুর রহমান মোল্লা।

বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, পুলিশ সুপার, মোঃ জসিম উদ্দিন। অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন, বীরমুক্তিযোদ্ধা আলী আকবর, বীরমুক্তিযোদ্ধা এনামুল ইসলাম টুকু, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সন্তান কামরুল হাসান লিখন,শেখ সামাদ আজাদ সহ আরও অনেকে।

অনুষ্ঠানটি সঞ্চালনা করেন,বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা মইনুল হোসেন রাজা।অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতে শহীদদের স্মরণে ১ মিনিট নিরবতা পালন করা হয় এবং পরে জাতীয় সংঙ্গীত পরিবেশন করা হয়।আলোচনা শেষে শহীদদের আত্মার মাগফিরাত এবং দেশের শান্তি ও সমৃদ্ধি কামনা করে বিশেষ দোয়া মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

এতে বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা, জনপ্রতিনিধি, রাজনৈতিক নেতৃবৃন্দ, সরকারি কর্মকর্তা, শিক্ষাবিদ, সাংবাদিক এবং সর্বস্তরের জনগণ অংশ নেন। অনুষ্ঠানটি নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সঠিক ইতিহাস তুলে ধরার এবং দেশপ্রেমের চেতনা উজ্জীবিত করার আহ্বান জানায়।

উল্লেখ্য, ১৯৭১ সালের ৭ ডিসেম্বর সকালে কোম্পানী কমান্ডার মাহবুব এলাহী রঞ্জু (বীর প্রতীক) এর নেতৃত্বে মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের একটি দল ফুলছড়ি উপজেলার ফজলুপুর ইউনিয়নের কালাসোনার চর থেকে বালাসীঘাট হয়ে গাইবান্ধা শহরে প্রবেশ করে।

বিজয়ী বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের আগমনের সংবাদ পেয়ে আগের রাতেই গাইবান্ধা শহরের স্টেডিয়ামে অবস্থিত পাক হানাদার বাহিনীর সদস্যরা তল্পিতল্পা গুটিয়ে রংপুর ক্যান্টনমেন্টের উদ্দেশ্যে পালিয়ে যায়। অনুষ্ঠান শেষে শহীদদের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনায় দোয়া করা হয়।

দক্ষিণের জনপ্রিয় দুই তারকা বিজয় দেবারকোন্ডা ও রাশমিকা মান্দানার প্রেমের গুঞ্জন চলছে অনেক দিন ধরেই। বাগদান সেরে ২০২৬ সালের শুরুর দিকে বিয়ে—এমন খবরও ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছিল ভারতীয় গণমাধ্যমে। তবে এত দিন ব্যক্তিজীবন নিয়ে মুখে কুলুপ এঁটেছিলেন রাশমিকা। অবশেষে দ্য হলিউড রিপোর্টার ইন্ডিয়াকে দেওয়া এক সাক্ষাৎকারে প্রথমবার সরাসরি এ প্রশ্নের জবাব দিলেন তিনি।

চলতি বছর ক্যারিয়ারের সেরা সময় পার করছেন অভিনেত্রী। বছরের শুরুতে ‘ছাবা’ থেকে শুরু করে সর্বশেষ ‘দ্য গার্লফ্রেন্ড’—রাশমিকার মুক্তিপাওয়া পাঁচটি সিনেমা ২০২৫ সালে বক্স অফিসে আয় করেছে ১ হাজার ৩০০ কোটি রুপির বেশি। তিনি বলেন, “সত্যি বলতে এ বছরটা আমার কাছে স্বপ্নের মতো। বৈচিত্র্যময় চরিত্রে কাজ করতে চেয়েছিলাম, সেটা এই বছরই বাস্তব হয়েছে ।

সম্প্রতি শোনা যায়, গত অক্টোবরেই হায়দরাবাদে ঘনিষ্ঠজনদের উপস্থিতিতে নাকি বাগদান সারেন রাশমিকা ও বিজয়। এমন ইঙ্গিতও পাওয়া যায়, বাগদান সত্যি এবং বিয়ে হতে পারে ২০২৬ সালের ফেব্রুয়ারিতে। যদিও এখনো আনুষ্ঠানিক ঘোষণা দেননি কেউই।

সাক্ষাৎকারে সঞ্চালক অনুপমা চোপড়া সরাসরি জিজ্ঞেস করেন- বিয়ের খবর তিনি স্বীকার করবেন, নাকি এটিকে গুজব বলবেন? কিছুক্ষণ ভেবে রাশমিকা হেসে বলেন, “আমি কোনোটাই করব না।” এরপর যোগ করেন, “সময় হলে আমরাই জানাব।”

ভক্তরা মনে করছেন, রাশমিকার এই উত্তরই তাঁদের সম্পর্কের ইঙ্গিত। তবে অভিনেত্রী স্পষ্ট করে বলেন, ব্যক্তিগত কিছু শেয়ার করার আগে তিনি একটু সময় নিতে চান।

উল্লেখ্য, ‘গীতা গোবিন্দম’ ও ‘ডিয়ার কমরেড’ -এ একসঙ্গে অভিনয়ের পর থেকেই রাশমিকা-বিজয়ের প্রেমের খবর আলোচনায়। সাম্প্রতিক নিউইয়র্ক ইন্ডিয়া ডে প্যারেডের মতো নানা অনুষ্ঠানেও তাদের একসঙ্গে দেখা গেছে। ২০২৪ সালে দুজনেই জানিয়েছিলেন—তারা ‘সিঙ্গেল নন’, তবে সঙ্গীর নাম প্রকাশ করেননি।
