এর আগে ডয়চে ভেলের প্রতিবেদনে আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের প্রতিমন্ত্রী মোহাম্মদ আলী আরাফাতকে উদ্ধৃত করে বলা হয়েছিল, ৫ আগস্টকে ঘিরে যদি কোনো অনুশোচনা বা ক্ষমা চাওয়ার বিষয় থাকে, তাহলে সেটা বাংলাদেশের জনগণের সঙ্গে বুঝবে আওয়ামী লীগ। যখন স্বাভাবিক রাজনৈতিক কার্যক্রম চালাতে পারবে, তখনই বিবেচনা করা হবে।

ক্ষমা চাওয়া ও অনুশোচনা প্রসঙ্গে আরাফাত বলেন, ‘গত এক বছর ধরে তারা যে হত্যা করেছে, তারা কি তার জন্য অনুশোচনা করেছে? আর ওই সময়ে (৫ আগস্টকেন্দ্রিক) যে হত্যা হয়েছে, আমরা তো সব হত্যাকাণ্ডের বিচারের কথা বলেছি। স্বাধীন বিচার বিভাগীয় কমিশন গঠন করেছিলাম। যারা আমাদের ক্ষমা চাওয়ার কথা বলছে, তারা তো এক গোষ্ঠী হত্যাকারীকে দায়মুক্তি দিয়েছে। যারা হত্যাকারীকে দায়মুক্তি দেয়, যারা মব সন্ত্রাস করল, ঘরে ঘরে ঢুকে হত্যা করল, তার জবাব কে দেবে?’

আপনাদের যদি জনভিত্তি থাকত, তাহলে তো দেশের মানুষ আপনাদের পক্ষে থাকত, তা তো হয়নি– ডয়চে ভেলের এমন প্রশ্নের জবাবে তিনি বলেন, ‘এর জবাব আপনারা কয়েক দিন পরে পাবেন। এখানে জঙ্গি, যুদ্ধাপরাধী, সাম্প্রদায়িক শক্তিকে যুক্ত করা হয়েছে। সাম্রাজ্যবাদী শক্তির টাকা ঢালা হয়েছে। মেটিকুলাসলি ডিজাইন করা হয়েছে। লাশের পর লাশ ফেলা হয়েছে। মানুষের মন বিষিয়ে বিষাক্ত করে খেপিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে। আজকে এক বছরের মাথায় এসে দেশের বেশির ভাগ মানুষ এটা অনুধাবন করতে পেরেছে। তারা ফিল করে তাদের সঙ্গে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করা হয়েছে।’

আরাফাতের দাবি, ‘আওয়ামী লীগ চায়নি আর মানুষ নিহত হোক। তাই ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দিয়েছে। আওয়ামী লীগ যদি চাইত, তাহলে হত্যা করে ক্ষমতায় থাকতে পারত। আওয়ামী লীগ মানুষের দল। তাই সেটা চায়নি।’

ফেসবুক পোস্টে তিনি ঢাবি উপাচার্যের সঙ্গে ইসলামী ছাত্রী সংস্থার ঢাবি শাখার সদস্যদের সৌজন্য সাক্ষাতের ছবি যুক্ত করে ব্যঙ্গাত্মক পোস্ট করেন। সেই পোস্টে এক মন্তব্যের উত্তরে তিনি যৌন ইঙ্গিতপূর্ণ শব্দ ব্যবহার করেন। এ ছাড়াও আরেকটি মন্তব্যের উত্তরে তিনি বলেন, ‘লুঙ্গীর তলেও (অশ্লীল শব্দ)…। আমাদের পর্দায় সমস্যা না সার্কাসে সমস্যা। বুজিপার পারিচো গেদা।’

তার এসব মন্তব্যকে ঘিরে বিরূপ প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়েছেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীরা। সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন পোস্টে শামসুল আরেফিনের মন্তব্যের নিন্দা জানান তারা। ইংরেজি বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী সিফাত হাসান সাকিব নিজের ফেসবুক পোস্টে লিখেন, ‘এই হলো রাজনীতি, ছি‌: মুখে থু!’

পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী মাসুদ রানা লিখেন, তথাকথিত প্রগতিশীল নারীবাদীরা এখন কই গেছে? এসব নিয়ে তো তাদের কোনো আওয়াজ দেখছি না। নাকি দাড়িওয়ালা পুরুষ আর হিজাব পরিহিত নারীকে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে তাই বলা বৈধ? এই কমেন্টের মাধ্যমে পুরো নারী জাতিকে অপমান করা হয়েছে। ইসলামপন্থিদের যতই থামিয়ে দিতে চান, যতই গালি দেন তারা কিন্তু থেমে যাবে না। কোরআনের একটা আয়াত মনে করিয়ে দেই, তারা ষড়যন্ত্র করে, আর আল্লাহও কৌশল অবলম্বন করেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ কৌশল অবলম্বনকারী।

জবি শিবিরের সভাপতি মো. রিয়াজুল ইসলাম প্রতিবাদ জানিয়ে ফেসবুক পোস্টে লিখেন, ‘নারী শিক্ষার্থীদের হিজাব নিয়ে এমন কটূক্তিমূলক কথা বলা জাহেলিয়াতের চরমতম বহিঃপ্রকাশ। পর্দা করা মুসলিম নারী শিক্ষার্থীদের নিয়ে কোনো মুসলিম পরিবারের মানুষ এমন মন্তব্য করতে পারে না। নৈতিকতাবিবর্জিত মানুষের মতো আচরণ একজন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ছাত্রনেতার মুখে বেমানান। বামদের আদর্শে উজ্জীবিত হয়ে যারা নিজেকে নব্য ইসলামবিদ্বেষী প্রমাণ করতে চায় তাদের জানা উচিত এদেশে ইসলামের শিকড় অনেক গভীরে।’

এদিকে জবি ছাত্রদলের সদস্য সচিব শামসুল আরেফিন এক কমেন্টে সমালোচনার জবাব দিয়ে বলেন, পর্দার প্রতি বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা। আমার বক্তব্য ভিসি মহোদয়ের হিপোক্রেসির ওপর।একদিকে রাজনীতি প্রমোট করেন, অন্যদিকে নিষিদ্ধ। নারী ও তার ধর্মীয় স্বাধীনতায় আমার আজন্ম শ্রদ্ধা।

কেভিন স্পেসি

২০০৯ সালে ‘গ্যাংস্টার’, ‘লাইফ ইন আ...মেট্রো’ তারকা শাইনি আহুজার বিরুদ্ধে গৃহকর্মীকে ধর্ষণের অভিযোগ ওঠে। এরপরেই কার্যত তাঁর ক্যারিয়ার শেষ হয়ে যায়। ২০১১ সালে দোষী সাব্যস্ত হয়ে ৭ বছরের সাজা পান। জামিনে মুক্ত হলেও বলিউডে ফেরার চেষ্টা করেন শাইনি। কয়েকটি ছবিতে ছোটখাটো চরিত্র করলেও আগের অবস্থায় আর ফিরতে পারেননি তিনি।

বিল কসবি

পপ গায়িকা মেলানি মার্টিনেজের বিরুদ্ধে প্রাক্তন বন্ধু যৌন নিপীড়নের অভিযোগ তোলেন। যদিও মার্টিনেজ অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করেন, তবু অনলাইনে তীব্র প্রতিক্রিয়া হয়। একপর্যায়ে সাময়িকভাবে সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যম বন্ধ করে দিতে বাধ্য তিনি। ২০২৩ সালে নতুন অ্যালবাম প্রকাশ করলেও সেভাবে সাড়া মেলেনি।

মার্কিন নির্মাতা ব্রায়ান সিঙ্গার পরিচিত ‘এক্স-মেন’, ‘বোহিমিয়ান র‍্যাপসোডি’র মতো সিনেমার জন্য। তবে তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে একাধিক নাবালক যৌন নির্যাতনের অভিযোগ করে। যদিও আইনি রায়ে দোষ প্রমাণিত হয়নি, তবু প্রযোজকরা তাঁকে বাদ দেন। ২০১৯ সালে ‘ডার্ক ফোনিক্স’-এর পর আর কোনো চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাণ করতে পারেননি তিনি।

রিয়া সেন

শুরুটা মন্দ ছিল না। ক্যারিয়ারের শুরুর দিকেই ‘স্টাইল’ সিনেমা ব্যবসায়িক সাফল্য পায়। ছিলেন মডেল। ১৯৯৮ সালে ফাল্গুনী পাঠাকের মিউজিক ভিডিওতে নজর কাড়েন। হিন্দি, বাংলাসহ অনেক সিনেমার প্রস্তাব আসতে থাকে। একের পর এক সিনেমায় যুক্ত হন। কিন্তু একটি ঘটনা থমকে দেয় এই অভিনেত্রীর ক্যারিয়ার। ২০০৫ সালে রিয়া সেনের একটি ব্যক্তিগত ভিডিও ফাঁস হয়। ধারণা করা হয়, ভিডিওতে তাঁর সঙ্গে ছিলেন রিয়ার সেই সময়ের প্রেমিক আসমিত প্যাটেল। এ ঘটনা নিয়ে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই তুমুল বিতর্ক শুরু হয়। অনেক সিনেমা থেকে বাদ পড়েন তিনি। পরে টুকটাক অভিনয় করলেও রিয়া আর প্রথম সারির অভিনেত্রী হিসেবে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে পারেননি।

প্রিয়াঙ্কা পণ্ডিত

দেলোয়ার হোসাইন মাহদী: ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া সদর উপজেলা ওলামা দলের ৫১ সদস্যের নতুন কমিটি গঠনের পর সংগঠনের অভ্যন্তরে তীব্র বিরোধ ও বিভাজন দেখা দিয়েছে। কমিটির স্বচ্ছতা ও গ্রহণযোগ্যতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তুলেছেন ওলামা দলের দীর্ঘদিনের ত্যাগী নেতারা।

সদর কমিটির সাবেক সেক্রেটারি মাওলানা আনোয়ার বলেন, “এই কমিটি একটি বাণিজ্য কমিটি। এটি জেলা ওলামা দলের চারবারের নির্বাচিত আহবায়ক মাওলানা আল আমীন সাহেবকে না জানিয়ে অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে। দলীয় নিয়ম অনুযায়ী আহবায়কের স্বাক্ষর ছাড়া কোনো কমিটি বৈধ হতে পারে না।”

তিনি অভিযোগ করেন, যারা স্বৈরাচারের আমলে দলে ছিলেন না, আজ তারা আওয়ামী ছত্রছায়ায় থেকে পদ বাণিজ্যের মাধ্যমে কমিটিতে ঢুকেছে। “দলের পুরাতন ত্যাগী কর্মীদের বাদ দিয়ে নবাগত ও সুবিধাভোগীদের জায়গা করে দেওয়া হয়েছে, যা দুঃখজনক” — বলেন আনোয়ার।

তিনি আরও দাবি করেন, সদর ও পৌর কমিটিতে একই ব্যক্তিদের একাধিক পদে রাখাও নীতিবিরোধী। “আমি ও ইয়াসিন আরাফাত উভয়েই দুইটা কমিটির তালিকা শ্যামল ভাইয়ের কাছে জমা দিয়েছিলাম। কিন্তু ইয়াহইয়া মাসুদ ও ইয়াসিন আরাফাত ওনাকে ভুল বুঝিয়ে নিজেদের দেওয়া কমিটির অনুমোদন নিয়ে নিয়েছেন।”

অন্যদিকে, নতুন কমিটির পক্ষ থেকে দেওয়া বক্তব্যে সদস্য সচিব মুফতি নুরুল্লাহ আল মানসূর বলেন, “কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে ‘টপ ১০’ সদস্যদের মধ্যে ৯ জনের অনুমোদন নিয়ে। শুধুমাত্র আল আমীন সাহেবই বাদ গেছেন, কারণ তার সঙ্গে বহুবার যোগাযোগ করেও তাকে মিটিংয়ে পাওয়া যায়নি। তিনি অসুস্থতার অজুহাত দেখিয়েছেন।”

কমিটির আহবায়ক মাওলানা ইয়াসিন বিরাসারী এ প্রসঙ্গে বলেন, “সভাপতির অনুমতিক্রমেই সবকিছু হয়েছে।”

জেলা কমিটির বর্তমান সেক্রেটারি ইয়াহইয়া মাসুদ জানান, “যেহেতু সভাপতির অনুপস্থিতিতে সহ-সভাপতির স্বাক্ষর ছিল, তাই কেন্দ্রের নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী কমিটি অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে।”

অন্যদিকে জেলা আহবায়ক মাওলানা আল আমীন বলেন, “আমাকে না জানিয়েই কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে। আমি এ কমিটি মানি না।”

স্থানীয় নেতৃবৃন্দের একাংশ বলছেন, “ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার ওলামা দলকে আদর্শিকভাবে সংগঠিত করার বদলে এখানে এখন ব্যক্তি স্বার্থ ও পদবাণিজ্য হানা দিচ্ছে। এ অবস্থা চলতে থাকলে সংগঠনের ভাবমূর্তি ক্ষুণ্ন হবে।
